01 · What we collect
When you submit the interest-registration form, we collect:
- Email address (required)
- Interest category — future newsletter, future membership, research reports/toolkits, or sponsorship (required)
- A note you choose to add (optional, up to 1,500 characters)
- Submission timestamp
We do not collect payment information, government ID, or precise location. A hidden field on the form exists solely to catch automated spam bots — legitimate visitors never see it, and any submission that fills it in is discarded rather than stored.
02 · Why we collect it
We use this information solely to gauge genuine interest before building a paid newsletter, membership, research product, or sponsorship program; to contact you about the specific interest category you selected, if and when that offering launches; and to understand which offerings are worth prioritizing. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
03 · Legal basis for processing
Where relevant data protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) applies, our legal basis for processing your information is your consent, given by checking the consent box on the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time — see Section 6.
04 · Where your information is stored
Submissions are stored in PSYBORG's own database, hosted on our infrastructure provider. We do not currently use a third-party email marketing platform — if we adopt one in the future, we will update this policy first and, where required, seek fresh consent.
05 · How long we keep it
We retain interest-registration submissions until you ask us to delete your data, or the relevant offering either launches (at which point we will contact you about transitioning to that product) or is discontinued (at which point unconverted records are deleted).
06 · Your rights
You can ask us to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, or withdraw consent (which stops future contact and triggers deletion). To exercise any of these rights, contact us — see Section 10. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally no more than 30 days. If a private withdrawal link was provided to you after submission, that link lets you withdraw consent directly without emailing us.
07 · Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
08 · Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, including restricting administrative access behind authentication. No online system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09 · Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as PSYBORG adds features — payments, reader accounts, email delivery, analytics — and will note the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected data will be communicated to affected users where feasible.
