Responsibility is a process, not a promise.
Four functions that turn good intentions into a working practice.

A useful framework
NIST organizes AI risk management around four functions: Govern, Map, Measure, and Manage. Together they connect responsibility, context, evaluation, and action.
Make it specific
For a team, that can mean naming an owner, documenting how a tool will be used, choosing relevant evaluations, and deciding how unacceptable outcomes will be addressed. Our recommendation is to write these decisions down before launch.
Keep the loop open
A successful test is not a permanent guarantee. Revisit the process when users, data, capabilities, or deployment conditions change. Record what you found and what you changed, so learning survives a handover.
